A LITTLE ABOUT TCC:
Whether you’re new to Sharks hockey, or have been going to games since the Cow Palace,
you’ve seen something new around the Tank for the last few years.
Fans wearing scarves, with the name “Teal City Crew”. Who are they? Why is it growing? What do they do?
In January of '11, Bay Area born/SoCal raised Sharks fan Curt Silver, launched Shark-Tank on Tumblr,
a Sharks fans prospective blog, out of his bedroom in Burbank, CA.
In 2014, the World Cup brought soccer fans together. Already a fan of US Soccer, he joined the American Outlaws,
the global supporter club of the United States National Teams.
After a few matches, he found himself with an opportunity to run his own chapter, out of Orange County, CA.
He saw something that summer and the following year. He loved the passion, dedication, and year-round support,
whether they were playing or not. He saw an opportunity to create something the NHL has only seen here and there,
a dedicated supporter club in an NHL arena. So, in 2015, Shark-Tank was rebranded, and a new mission statement was written.
It stated, “We are looking for San Jose’s Loudest & Proudest”. Since then, the Teal City Crew has brought fans together from across the globe. Our goal was to bring fans together, wherever they may be.
From 5-6 fans watching in an East LA B-Dubs, to 150 diehards filling an Orange County bar for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final,
we saw that it has been successful so far. This doesn’t even include the road trips to LA/Anaheim/Texas/Vegas/Arizona/San Diego/Ontario. International TCC members include Germany, Switzerland, Canada, and Australia, have all visited
the Tank with inspiration from the Crew waiting for them at the Tank!
The future of TCC looks bright, as we set off into our fourth full season, this time sitting together, at the top of 218, all season long, in our designated supporters section we’ve dubbed “The Reef”. What comes next is the best part. We don’t know yet. With fans leaving and coming, TCC will always change to the needs of Sharks fans and the SAP Center.
What we do know, is we’re not going to stop. We’ll always be San Jose’s Loudest & Proudest.
---------------------------------------
Established in 2015, the 5th of it's kind Supporter Club in the NHL, Teal City Crew is the gathering of "San Jose's Loudest and Proudest" fans. They are committed to creating a new culture at Sharks home games, creating a family circle of diehards, and most notably,
making the Bay Area a better place, as an official "Donee Beneficiary" of the Sharks Foundation (501.c).I
WHAT EXACTLY IS TCC?
WE ARE A LOT OF THINGS! FIRST OFF, A GROUP OF DIEHARD FANS WHOSE GOAL IS TO CREATE A FUN
& CREATIVE NEW ATMOSPHERE AT GAMES AT THE TANK, AS WELL AS SUPPORT ON THE ROAD.
WE ALSO ARE A BEACON FOR FANS FROM OUT OF STATE TO FIND OTHER LIKEMINDED FANS TO BAND TOGETHER!
LASTLY, WE WANT TO GROW THE CULTURE OF SHARKS HOCKEY IN SAN JOSE THROUGH CHARITY WORK,
PICK UP STREET HOCKEY, WATCH PARTIES, AND PROMOTING LOCAL BUSINESSES.
WHY SCARVES?
SUPPORTER CULTURE UNIVERSALLY HAS ALWAYS USED SCARVES TO UNITE A FANBASE, A SYMBOL OF BEING PART OF THAT FAMILY,
REGARDLESS IF YOU KNOW THEM. YOU CAN BE AT A ROAD GAME, SEE OUR SCARF ON SOMEONE, AND KNOW YOU'RE A PART OF OUR TCC FAMILY.
HOW DO I JOIN?
FIRST OFF, IF YOU ALREADY SUPPORT TCC, YOU ARE A THRIVING MEMBER OF OUR FAMILY!
WHETHER YOU'RE AN ACTIVE MEMBER IN OUR COMMUNITY, SUPPORTING OUR CAUSE BY BUYING OUR GEAR,
OR EVEN STOPPING BY FOR OUR FAMOUSGROUP PHOTOS OUTSIDE SECTION 118 AT INTERMISSIONS,
WE APPRECIATE THE SUPPORT AND EFFORT PUT BY THE INDIVIDUALS WHO SUPPORT US.
(DON'T FORGET, WITHOUT YOU, THERE'S NO TCC!)
HOW DO I START?
WE HAVE SO MANY WAYS OF BEING AN ACTIVE MEMBER, LIKE STATED ABOVE.
THE EASIEST WAY, HANG OUT WITH US! SAY HI, ASK QUESTIONS, MAKE NEW FRIENDS!
FROM THERE, WE OFFER MANY POSITIONS TO HELP TCC GROW AND RUNNING!
CHECK OUT OUR "VOLUNTEER POSITIONS" PAGE TO SEE IF YOU CAN HELP US OUT!
"WELL I HEARD..."
THEY'RE A BUNCH OF DRUNKS, THEY'RE BIGOTS (THAT'S OUR FAVORITE ONE), THEY'RE A SCAM, WE'VE HEARD IT ALL.
AS THE SAYING GOES, "IF YOU HAVE HATERS, YOU'RE DOING SOMETHING RIGHT".
CHECK THIS OUT. IF YOU HAVE CONCERNS, STOP BY. ASK US ANYTHING. TALK TO OUR MEMBERS.
WE'LL MAKE IT CLEAR. ONE OF THE FEW THINGS WE DON'T TOLERATE, IRONICALLY ENOUGH, IS INTOLERANCE.
TEAL CITY CREW WELCOMES AND EMBRACES THE DIVERSITY ALL SAN JOSE SHARKS FANS.

2018-19 CODE OF CONDUCT
Teal City Crew's motto is "San Jose's Loudest & Proudest", and for good reason. But we strive to do our best to protect the name of
Teal City Crew. Being a member of Teal City Crew at the Arena, on the road, at the chapter bar watching, or even online,
you have a responsibility for yourself, and the group.
It means that you are one of the many faces of San Jose hockey. It means that you are a member of an organization
committed to bringing San Jose's Loudest & Proudest together. It means you are a part of something bigger than yourself.
fellow fans or fans of other teams have no place in Teal City Crew.
How you conduct yourself in and outside the arena, at your chapter bars, and online, in your words and actions reflect on all of us.
Our Code goes against, but is not limited, to:
- Throwing any objects onto the ice or in the crowd during a game
- Leading, participating, and/or encouraging in inappropriate chants
- Physical harm or threats of physical harm to others
- Disrespectful and/or hateful speech online and offline
- Discrimination including: racism, sexism, homophobia, disrespect, and verbal assault
As TCC grows, so does our profile. The actions of a select few make us all look bad.
It is up to all of us to make sure that we act above, and to make sure others in and around Teal City Crew do the same.
If you see individual members acting in way that violates our code of conduct, let them know, let us know, and please don’t participate in or encourage it.
There is no excuse for watching something happen and not intervening.
Everyone must be held accountable for his or her individual actions and that means that there are no bystanders.
Our strength comes from how we unite our fan base and not how we tear down fellow U.S. fans or opposing fans.
We know that every one of you believes in passionately supporting the team, but there is a line that can not be crossed.
To be “San Jose's Loudest & Proudest”, we must protect the second word, Pride.
——————————————————
Slurs, derogatory language, physical harm and/or threats of physical harm towards anyone are completely unacceptable and will be dealt with in the strictest possible terms.
Any member of Teal City Crew who does not follow our “Act Above” Code of Conduct is subject to removal from the organization pending an investigation.
We reserve the right to report, deliberate, and exile any member for his or her actions at events, Sharks/Barracuda/Road games, and/or online that violates our Code of Conduct.
Additionally you will lose all the privileges of being a member of TCC (tickets, merchandise, etc) including access to TCC events & supporter section tickets.
We will report any actions to the San Jose Sharks ticketing staff to revoke all future ticket purchases to our sections.
You are responsible for your own actions as we are responsible for protecting our organization and preserve the passionate positivity of our Tank culture.

As a member, I understand that if I attempt to sell a TCC ticket for above face value, purchase a ticket with the intention of reselling it above face value, TCC has the absolute right, in its sole discretion, to revoke my membership to TCC.
